Welcome to the community! Being a newcomer can be tough – you may have questions and concerns – but the UNA is here to provide some information. Below you will find resources including newcomer guides, activities and more that can help you get settled into your new home.

We understand that getting settled into a new place can be both exciting and challenging. That’s why we have put together a combination of resources to help you get find your way. Whether you need assistance with finding suitable accommodation, accessing settlement services, navigating government processes, or learning about local culture and history, the information on this page can help.

Comprehensive newcomer guides from the City of Vancouver and the Province of British Columbia are available in multiple languages if needed.

Newcomers Support

The UNA offers social support programs, support services and groups and English conversation and grammar programs to help you integrate into your community.
